Our students meet the TU/ecomotive team
The team behind the eco-designed Eterna modular vehicle makes a stop in Valenciennes
The TU/ecomotive project is being driven by students at Eindhoven University of Technology(Netherlands) who are focusing on the future of sustainable mobility. The Eterna electric vehicle is divided into two independent parts, with the use of each component optimized according to its lifespan.
As part of their European tour to promote the concept, their stop in Valenciennes enabled them to meet the students from the UPHF. They presented the Eterna modular car project to nearly 200 students from the IUT, in BUT GEii, BUT GIM, BUT GMP, who enriched their knowledge of eco-design.
The team was in Valenciennes as part of a ARIA Hauts-de-France partnership with its Dutch counterparts.
On the occasion of this stop, the vehicle demonstrated on the test track of the Technopôle Transalley
The research team has developed a solution to extend the life of cars and minimize their environmental impact
In a nutshell, Eterna is an electric vehicle divided into two independent parts, with each component able to be extracted when it no longer functions. This extends the life of the car by replacing worn parts.
All body parts and most interior components have been 3D printed using recycled plastic.
Vehicle range: 100Km - Top speed: 60 Km/h - Weight: 800 Kg,
