Computer Science
The computer science department trains 180 full-time and co-op students per year who are involved in the design, development, validation and integration of IT solutions for organizations.
One goal: student success
A pedagogical and technical team of 14 people accompanies and supervises the students during their course at the IUT.
Teaching is provided by permanent and part-time staff and is based on partnerships with the industrial and scientific world. Students complete 26 weeks of internship in initial training, or follow their training in alternating years from the second year. They can also benefit from an international experience allowing them to develop linguistic and intercultural skills, through a semester of study or an internship abroad.
Les atouts du B.U.T. Informatique
Professional training offer in INFO
After a technological or general BAC, the B.U.T. INFO offers a course focused on algorithmic and development . Until 2023, 1 course in professional license accessible after a BAC+2 in computer science is offered.
During 3 years, the student discovers the computer science professions, which correspond to the software life cycle. In order to assume their responsibilities, computer scientists who are technically and methodologically competent are also made aware of current issues (data security, cloud computing, artificial intelligence...), societal issues, legal, ethical and environmental issues related to the uses of digital.
.During one year, computer scientists integrating the LP CDAISI are trained in system security.
Parcours en B.U.T. Informatique
The studies take place on the Maubeuge campus
It was designed in close proximity to the Lycée Pierre Forest, which hosts students for lunch.
The Maubeuge campus is accessible by bus from the Maubeuge train station.
