A week of mobility in Greece comes to an end for BUT GMP apprentices

The aim was to collaborate with Greek mechanical engineering students at the University of the Peloponnese (UoP). The English-language exchanges provided an unforgettable academic and cultural experience.

Back to the week's program

  • Tour of the university, discovery of courses and research laboratories.
  • Meeting with Greek engineering student teams working on 3 projects.
    * Hyperion Drone Team - University of Peloponnese: study of a drone entirely designed and built by the students.
    * Pelops Racing Team: engineering & manufacture of a small-scale Formula 1 for world events. UoP is ranked 7th out of over 60 teams.
    * Hephaestus: design, analysis and construction of rockets, design and implementation of automation systems, development of a weather station.

  • Project mode work. The French students helped with the design, calculation and dimensioning of structures, and were asked to use the CAD tool CATIA.
  • Visit to Kotronis Packaging, a company specializing in the manufacture of plastic boxes.
  • Local tours offering French students the opportunity to discover the region's cultural and historical heritage.

🌍 This week of exchanges enabled apprentices to develop technical and linguistic skills, while strengthening cultural ties and international collaboration. A big thank you to all the participants for their commitment and enthusiasm!

👏 Well done to the Alternance department of the IUT at Valenciennes for supporting the apprentices' mobility, and thanks to Loïc Lezzani, head of the Mechanical and Productive Engineering (GMP) department, who supervised the stay.
