ANR JCJC Clinical project
[Research Project Launch] "Clinical": Time series classification for the detection and prediction of critical events related to anesthesia supported by the ANR (Agence nationale de la recherche) as part of the Programme Jeunes Chercheurs Jeunes Chercheuses (JCJC).
In order to limit the number of irrelevant alarms in the operating room and to define personalized anesthesia protocols, the LAMIH UMR CNRS 8201 with its partners the GIPSA-lab and the CHU Grenoble Alpes will start on October 1 the project "Clinical " whose objective is the development of a clinical assistance system ensuring:
- Detection and prediction of critical anesthesia-related events .
- Clinical decision support using automatic approaches .
Project summary
Clinical decision support systems are generally limited to threshold and variance detection in the case of anesthesia monitoring.
This project aims to exploit the potential of automatic, optimization and learning methods in order to propose generic and interpretable approaches to fuse the various measured data, and to design advanced systems for the detection of critical events related to anesthesia.
In addition, this project will contribute to solving complex anesthesia-related problems, such as modeling and estimating dynamics, in order to better characterize patient responses to drugs, as well as to improve monitoring in the presence of uncertainties and critical events.
