.

Piloted by Antoine Dequidt and Mathias Blandeau, this axis focuses on the "Silver economy" and "Smart Cities".

Bringing together some twenty researchers from the various laboratories involved (BMBI, CHU-Lille, CRIStAL, IEMN, INRIA, LAMIH), this workshop provided an opportunity to discuss:

  • comfortable navigation of a fleet of intelligent wheelchairs (presentation by Gilles Tagne)
  • upper limb rehabilitation integrating kinematic modeling and AI (presentation by Othman Lakhal)
  • the development and evaluation of assistance systems for wheelchair users (presentation by Chouki Sentouh)
  • health technologies via non-linear control theory (presentation by Thierry Marie Guerra and Marcia Da Costa)
  • an active handling assistance device (presentation by Khalil Ben Mansour)

It also provided an opportunity to present the testing resources available, in order to encourage collaborations between partners:

  • "Eurasport" platform at the URePSSS (Unité de recherche pluridisciplinaire sport, santé, société, ULR 7369), presented by Serge Berthoin
  • "PSCHITT" platform at LAMIH, presented by Gérald Conreur and Thierry Poulain

These presentations were followed by exchanges on

  • the medium-term outlook on the general organization of axis5
  • planned future work and opportunities for collaborations
  • the importance of taking into account regulations such as :
    • the RIPH (research involving human subjects)
    • the RGPD (general data protection regulation)
    • the CPPs (committees for the protection of individuals)

This workshop ended by showing the adequacy between the objectives of RITMEA's Axis 5 and those of Horizon Europe, thus reinforcing the relevance of the research carried out in this Axis 5.
