Title
Influence of surface topography on lubrication performance
Summary
Surface topography has a significant influence on the lubrication performance of modern mechanical elements, such as electric vehicle components, particularly in mixed and boundary lubrication regimes.
.The interaction between surface roughness and lubricant properties determines film formation, load-carrying capacity and friction response.
However, maintaining optimal tribological conditions in real operating environments remains a challenge, often resulting in energy losses and wear.
Advanced experimental and numerical approaches must be developed to understand and optimize surface-lubricant interactions, with the ultimate aim of improving the efficiency, durability and energy efficiency of modern drive systems.
