GLOCAT
GeoLocation of ATtaques on wireless networks
This project focuses on cyber-attacks against wireless networks. Attackers thus seek to recover information by exploiting the wireless communication links used by terminals. They may also involve denial-of-service attacks aimed at preventing all or part of communications from being established or continuing.
The attackers (or a device under their control) are physically close to the intended targets in order to record data or carry out malicious actions. This type of threat concerns public spaces equipped with wireless networks (e.g. Wi-Fi in railway stations, airports and, more broadly, connected cities), as well as private spaces (e.g. companies exchanging proprietary data, industrial sites equipped with industry 4.0 technologies) and governmental spaces (e.g. ministerial buildings). The aim of this project is to detect attacks against wireless networks, and locate the position of the attacker in order to neutralize him.
