Cordées de la réussite : With the IUT, set yourself a GOAL!
By committing to the Cordées de la réussite, IUT is active alongside high schools and colleges in building the career paths of young people.
120 students from 3ème & and 2nde participated during one day in fun and cultural activities that allowed them to discover a university environment.
Welcomed in Maubeuge, they visited the Pôle universitaire, participated in a programming workshop with debugging of a program (video game) developed in java: at the controls of a spaceship, the students helped by the students of BUT Informatique had to make the asteroids appear on the screen, program the shuttle's movement, display the score corresponding to the collection of stars.
Through an Escape Game they discovered the GOAL Physical Measurements Physics with tests of electricity, optics, chemistry, cryptography, materials.

The aim of the Cordées de la réussite is to encourage the academic ambition of middle and high school students by providing support through to higher education.
The mobilization of all the actors of our IUT and colleges & high schools has allowed the device to grow: this year we receive students from 3ème, 2nde, 1ère and terminale.In consultation with the referents of the partner establishments, the IUT offers a three-stage program that encourages the discovery of a university environment, accompanying the construction of a personal professional project that stimulates self-confidence and collaborative work.
