39 third-year students in the GMP Bachelor's degree program on an immersion program at the University of Patras

International Technical Collaboration for Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (GMP) Students

For one week, from May 6 to 13, students from Valenciennes worked at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Patras in Greece.

The goal? To contribute to three major projects developed by Greek engineering students!

• Hyperion Drone Team: design and complete construction of drones.
• Pelops Racing Team: building a small Formula 1 car for world championships.
• Hephaestus: design, analysis, and construction of rockets and automation systems; development of a weather station; mapping, and development of the engineering campus at the University of Patras.

On the agenda for this week full of exchanges...

• Immersion in the university’s education and research programs.
• Working groups on the three projects.
• Joint design: calculations, structural sizing, and mastery of the CATIA software in mixed groups.
• Sharing experiences regarding the French apprentices’ work placements and the realities of the profession.
