Connected beehives in Maubeuge

BUT MP students welcome queens to Campus

The Department of Physical Measurements at the IUT has installed connected beehives on campus as part of a project in the 2nd year of B.U.T.

Project objective: instrument a beehive to continuously collect various information on a colony of bees, monitor their activity and deduce their state of health.

Among the resources mobilized on this action: project management, instrument piloting, metrology, mathematics, chemical analysis techniques, technical data sheet writing.

The swarms are doing well, and the teacher supervising the project has noted the presence of numerous queens.
