Ecological transition: the IUT makes an active commitment

A half-day of reflection for IUT management

The challenges of transition ecological and sustainable development (TEDS) are major issues

.

We are now integrating these issues at the heart of our teaching and research missions and in our day-to-day operations.

To firmly anchor this approach, a participatory workshop was organized for members of the board of directors and the TEDS referents of the IUT's 9 training departments.

The objective? Emerge federating actions adapted to the specificities of the IUT.

The half-day program:

>raising awareness of TEDS issues and their direct impact on our activities,
> co-construct realistic solutions,
> integrate these principles into all our practices. > integrate these principles into all our practices: educational, scientific and managerial.

Training tomorrow's professionals

The impact of this approach will be felt directly on the training of our students, already destined to evolve. Integrating the ecological transition into curricula is essential to prepare our students not only for these issues, but also for the professions that are being transformed and created with the climate emergency.

With this initiative, the IUT confirms its commitment to being a major player in the transition, training professionals who are aware of and capable of integrating the principles of sustainable development into their future careers.

The workshop was organized by Cécilia DAQUIN, Chargée de missions TEDS pour l'IUT and moderated by Florent REMY, animator of the association Artois Bas-Carbone
