Last meeting before the vacations for the Cordée de la réussite IUT

Cordée Avec l'IUT, fix-toi un but! middle and high school students were all together on May 31

With the IUT, set yourself a goal!

To close this third edition of the Cordées de la Réussite, the IUT invited "encordés" middle and high school students, to a festive day on the Mont Houy campus.

This year, nearly 300 young people from 15 of the region's middle and high schools attended with their chaperones, supervised by 12 students from our Institute and the teaching teams from the 9 training departments.

The day's program

Welcome at IMTD, friendly breakfast with teams and IUT director Isabelle Massa-Turpin, presentation of student work (videos and posters), lunch at the university restaurant, fun afternoon, video and poster competition prize-giving.

A big thank you to all the schools that took part in Cordées de la réussite this year, collèges and lycées in Avesnes-Les-Aubert, Avesnes-sur-Helpe, Cambrai, Condé-sur-Escaut, Denain, Douai, Fourmies, Fresnes-sur-Escaut, Iwuy, Maubeuge, Saint-Amand-Les-Eaux, Somain, Valenciennes.

Presentation of students' work

As part of a competition offered by the IUT, the students presented the jury with the work they had produced following their visit to the various departements de formation.

College students in 3ème and lycéens in seconde were asked to create a poster illustrating their visit.
Second-year students made short videos illustrating the professions and training courses presented by the IUT.

Fun afternoon

After lunch in the university restaurant, the middle and high school students spent the afternoon all together, spread out in board game workshops led by our students and colleagues, and participated in an escape game.
