The IUT buzzed with excitement during the festive closing ceremony

170 middle and high school students took over the Mont Houy campus to celebrate a year of exchanges and projects. From exploring student life to receiving awards for their creative projects and participating in a community theater performance, the day was filled with excitement and reflections on the future.

Congratulations to all the participants and their accompanying teachers!

Seeing so many students make the campus their own and get involved in such creative ways fills me with immense pride.

Creativity and Commitment

This event highlighted the work accomplished by the students. Throughout the year, they explored the IUT’s academic programs, visited various companies, and immersed themselves on our campuses, gaining insight into the realities of the professional and academic worlds.

To capture this experience, they created posters and videos reflecting their thoughts on their future paths. The jury praised the quality and originality of the entries (posters and videos) and presented the “Cordées de la Réussite” trophy to the winning schools.

Campus Tour

To help these prospective students envision what their future lives might look like, a discovery tour was offered on the Mont Houy campus: a tour of the “L’Intermède” theater—the new beating heart of campus cultural life—the University Library (BU), and the gym, highlighting the balance between academics and well-being. Lunch at the University Dining Hall (RU) gave them a taste of the student atmosphere.

Interactive theater to challenge gender stereotypes

The day also took on a civic dimension with a presentation by the LAPS Équipe du Matin theater troupe, which, through an interactive play, invited the young people to reflect on gender stereotypes. This fun activity encouraged students to freely discuss their career plans without being limited by preconceived notions.
