Seminar "Teaching ethics under the razor blade of AI".

As part of the IRL CROSSING activity, a seminar will be held by Paulo Santos, Flinders University Adelaide (Australia) on Thursday, November 23 at 1pm.

This talk explores the ethical dimensions of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into education, with a focus on the risks associated with large linguistic models, such as GPT-3.

While AI offers transformative opportunities in personalized learning, the presentation highlights the dangers inherent in using models that cannot guarantee the veracity of results. Key concerns include the possibility of generating misleading information, the opacity of model decision-making and the perpetuation of bias. The talk highlights the importance of addressing these ethical challenges and teaching ethical decision-making in the AI era.

Key words: Ethical decision-making, large linguistic models, AI education.
