International student

You are an international student and have never been enrolled at Hauts-de-France Polytechnic University.

Procedure

To obtain the registration file, send an email to the schooling department (@email ) specifying in the subject line "request for an International registration file", attach your prior registration agreement Studies in France or your admission letter.

The service is located in the Maison des Services à l'Etudiant - Campus Mont Houy - Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes.

Schooling service opening hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm (4 pm on Fridays) - MSE reception from 8 am to 5:30 pm without interruption.

PLEASE NOTE: The Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France imposes a deadline for arrival (communicated on the Etudes en France pre-registration or admission letter) and reserves the right to refuse any registration beyond this deadline.

Procedure for applying for or renewing a residence permit

  • You have a Long Stay Visa "CESEDA R 311-3 6°" 

This visa is worth a residence permit. As soon as you arrive in France and no later than 3 months after your entry, you must have your visa validated here.

  • You are an Algerian national

On arrival in France, as soon as you have completed your administrative registration at the University, you must apply for a residence permit : You register online with "the Digital Administration for Foreigners in France " 

  • You are a national of one of the countries of the European Union

You do not need a residence permit. Only Croatian students who wish to obtain a work contract must apply for a residence permit : You register online with " the Digital Administration for Foreigners in France " 

  • You don't have a visa, you are on a minor visa, you have a tourist visa...

You must contact the Sub-Prefecture of Valenciennes, send an email to @email

For any direct communication with the Sub-Prefecture of Valenciennes, please specify your foreign number listed on your long stay visa

As soon as you have completed your administrative registration at the University, you must do the process in tele-procedure on the portal

The email address you indicate will be used to notify you of the progress of your file, then remember to check your emails regularly.

The processing of the file may take one to two months.

After the portal goes live, you must submit the application to renew the residence permit between the 3rd and 2nd month before the residence permit expires (e.g., for a residence permit that expires on November 30: apply for renewal on the portal between August 30 and September 30).

The Student Life Office can provide you with information on the steps to take in conjunction with the Sub-Prefecture.

Open: 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m. except Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

It is located on the first floor of the Maison des Services aux Etudiants (MSE), at the entrance of the Mont-Houy campus.
