Cambrai Campus

Located near downtown Cambrai, the Centre Universitaire de Cambrai covers more than 5,000 m2 and is home to almost 1,300 students.

Presentation

The Cambrésian branch of the Université de Valenciennes et du Hainaut-Cambrésis welcomed its first students in 1982 in science and technology. In 1988, law and history were added. From 1991 onwards, the Cambrai university center will be located in the former Gillet-Thaon industrial buildings, offering a wide range of courses from DAEU to Masters.

Located close to Cambrai city center, the University Center covers more than 5,000 m2: lecture halls, library, laboratories, computer rooms, active room, university restaurant, university residence, gymnasium, sports facilities.

Thanks to the financial and material support of the Communauté d'Agglomération de Cambrai, everything is in place to offer students pleasant working and living conditions.

In this 2023/2024 academic year, 1122 students are trained by:

  • the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France - (INSA Hauts-de-France, ISH, IUT, Pôle Formation) and
  • the University of Lille (Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences).

These two higher education establishments offer professionally-oriented undergraduate and postgraduate training in a human dimension and eco-responsible setting.

Student life

Students have a library at their disposal. The collections are developed according to the main disciplines taught at Cambrai and are complementary to the other libraries: history, geography, heritage, French, English, German, Spanish, mathematics, computing, physics, chemistry, agronomy, agri-food, industrial production, law, economics, management, sociology, management, marketing, further studies and professional integration...

On campus, students can eat at the university restaurant and cafeteria run by the CROUS.

A nurse is available every Monday.

On campus, it's possible to play badminton and futsal. Registrations are made via the student Digital Workspace (ENT)

Volleyball, table tennis and soccer equipment is also available, with free access.

The campus is home to numerous student associations: corpos, event-based associations, solidarity associations, humanitarian associations...

Les restos du coeur welcome students every Thursday from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm on the 4th floor in room 402.

The Student House student grocery store provides sales of products at preferential rates and offers various free or reduced-rate services (sophrology sessions, beauty treatments, local mission permanences etc).
