The platform for languages and certifications

Since 2016, the Language and Certification Platform has promoted a more homogeneous and richer language education of shared skills. It allows students to build their professional project and to train in languages " throughout their career "

Certifications

The missions of the Languages and Certifications Platform are to develop foreign language learning, enable knowledge building, and register learners for the various certifications offered by UPHF.

  • The CAMBRIDGE LINGUASKILL :  professional language test and a flexible, multilingual assessment tool, only in English). One session each month.
  • The BRIGHT (level assessment test, in 11 languages). One session each month.
  • VOLTAIRE : certification in spelling which aims to certify the level of mastery of the difficulties of the French language. Several sessions are organized throughout the year.
  • The TOEIC : Certification that serves as a common reference for evaluating and comparing the language skills in business of non-native English speakers. Several sessions are held throughout the year.
  • The TOEFL : Certification which assesses and certifies the level of written and oral comprehension and expression in academic English.

Opening modules

The Platform of Languages and Certifications manages more than 20 opening modules among those offered by UPHF ; the LSCMI (learning Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Dutch, Arabic, Portuguese, Italian, German, Spanish), preparation for the VOLTAIRE certification, preparation for the TOEIC, the TOEIC and You, the ch'ti picard, improve your English skills online, the FLE in tandem, modules of civilization, business english, etc

Two Language Resource Centers (LRC)

The Languages and Certifications Platform houses two LRCs (Language Resource Centers) where students are welcomed every day from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. One LRC on the Mont Houy site and one on the Tertiales site. At the LRCs, students can develop their foreign language skills using software and platforms that include grammar, lexicon, and written and oral comprehension exercises in 17 languages.) Students can also benefit from a personalized course to perfect their language skills according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Students can also participate in conversation workshops : a fun and lively way to practice languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French as a foreign language, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish).
