International students take part in the 5th edition of the Créathon!

From June 23 to 27, 2025, INSA Hauts-de-France organized a new edition of the Créathon, a marathon of creativity and innovation whose theme this year was Music. Over the course of a week, students took up a collective challenge combining social commitment, creativity and technological innovation, and presented their projects in front of a jury of professionals.

This edition benefited from the support and presence of numerous partners: the Conservatoire de Denain, the Institut Médico-Éducatif de Denain, the association " les Petits Pas de Rachel ", the baroque ensemble Harmonia Sacra from Valenciennes, the FLAC (Fédération Locale Alternative Culturelle) of Marly, Les Nuits Secrètes, the theater Le Phénix of Valenciennes and the Ville de Saint-Amand-les-Eaux.

9 international students come together to co-create

As part of the ECIU European alliance, 9 international students from several partner universities in Europe were welcomed to INSA Hauts-de-France. Divided into 4 international teams, they collaborated with INSA student engineers to imagine innovative and concrete projects linked to music, the territory and contemporary issues. These projects enabled them to combine creativity, skills and a spirit of intercultural cooperation.

A prize for the best ECIU project

As every year, several prizes were awarded during the Créathon: communication prize, creativity prize, "Good Vibes" prize, Gaston Berger prize, jury's favorite, public's favorite... An ECIU prize also rewarded the best international team: the PLOT team. A way of saluting the involvement of students from different countries and highlighting the richness of European collaboration.

A quick reminder: what is ECIU?

The ECIU program offers opportunities on a European scale, accessible to INSA Hauts-de-France engineering students and students from partner universities that are members of the alliance:

  • Collaborative challenges aimed at solving concrete and innovative situations, rooted in a local reality and linked with players in the field, while developing cross-disciplinary skills;
  • Micro-modules, short courses to deepen training-related knowledge or explore new fields;
  • With or without mobility, thanks to online, hybrid or face-to-face formats during a stay at a partner university;
  • Financial support, via the International Relations department and the Erasmus+ program, which can cover mobility-related expenses;
  • Official recognition, with ECTS credits awarded upon successful completion (mentioned on the student's transcript).
