Conference on metavers and artificial intelligence in education for a sustainable society
The first international conference on metaverse and artificial intelligence in education for a sustainable society takes place from June 10 to 12 at IMTD, on the campus of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, and remotely.
It is co-organized by Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, Beijing Normal University and Université Catholique de Lille.
In his introduction, Mourad Abed, coordinator for UPHF, pointed out that the timing corresponded with the closing of the DemoES (Démonstrateurs numériques dans l'Enseignement Supérieur) project, which lasted 4 years and for which he notably thanked Antoine Dauzy, ANR project manager, for his unfailing support.
Concerning metavers and artificial intelligence, the enthusiastic chairman Abdelhakim Artiba pointed out that "In this field we have ideas, but we have even more than ideas, and this conference will show a glimpse of them". Thanking the teams who have been working on these themes for several years, the university president said: "I believe in what you are doing. And I'm sure you'll learn a lot more from each other. I hope that the connections created between you will become established over time, so that we can continue to make progress in these fields."
