Student profile : Ludovic JOLIVE, an INSA student involved in the European Youth Parliament

At 19, Ludovic JOLIVE, embodies the humanist spirit of INSA. Driven since high school by a desire to get involved, he is now a volunteer with the European Youth Parliament (EYP-France), an organization that promotes active citizenship and cultural openness among thousands of young people in Europe.

Originating from the Paris region, Ludovic joined INSA Hauts-de-France in 1A and is now continuing in 3A GI FISE. Attracted by the "humanist engineer" dimension, he found an environment in line with his values. His involvement began in 2022 when, as a member of his high school's Conseil de la Vie Lycéenne, he took part in a regional session of the European Youth Parliament: "I immediately fell in love with the values of the association and its aim: to educate all young people in citizenship and give them unforgettable experiences. "A conviction that continues to guide him: "Our actions have meaning (...) we have a real impact on young people."

🇪🇺 President of the Île-de-France Committee of the European Youth Parliament

His background in more detail:

  • 2022: Chief organizer of the Sartrouville Regional Session (4-day parliamentary simulation with 80 participants from all over Europe)
  • 2023-2024: Regional events manager for Île-de-France
  • 2024-2025 : First Vice-President of the Comité île-de-France.
  • Since July 2025 : President of the Île-de-France Committee (term until 2027).

He currently coordinates an office of 14 members divided into four divisions (administrative & financial, communications, events, network & programs). His missions include: short- and long-term strategic vision, grant applications, budget management, partnerships, organization of national and international events, team coaching and training.

A true management and project management work, perfectly in line with the GI specialization (Management and Project Management applied to industry) he is following at INSA Hauts-de-France.

🌍 Outstanding experiences :

Thanks to the EYP network, Ludovic has already taken part in several sessions in Europe:

  • National Session of Milan (May 2024)
  • Regional Session of Valencia (February 2025)

And most importantly: the 103rd International Session - Euro-Mediterranean Youth Summit to Malaga (10 days, 250 young people, 35 countries). An experience where he was able to experience the role of an MEP, work within the "Transport and Tourism (TRAN)" committee and defend resolutions in the Plenary Assembly.

Reconciling engineering studies with community involvement

Ludovic spends approximately 8 hours per week to its commitment - a demanding rhythm, requiring organization and sacrifice. Thanks to the study contract set up by INSA Hauts-de-France, certain humanities skills are recognized as acquired via her commitment, enabling her to lighten her schedule slightly.

This experience provides him with skills related to his Industrial Engineering major, which he hopes to strengthen by continuing on to the Master Administration and Business Management (MAE) in 5th grade.

Ludovic Jolive embodies a profile that our institute is proud to value: a committed student, a driving force for others and focused on a solid professional project. His career demonstrates that it is possible to be a student at an engineering school and play an active role in democratic and community life, both in France and in Europe.
