Inter-DemoES Days: Digital Innovation for Education

On June 19 and 20, the inter-DemoES days took place, a time for meetings between Universities carrying DemoES projects but also secondary school teachers.

Organized within the IMTD, these days were an opportunity to present the PEIA project (Plateforme d'Expériences Immersives Apprenantes) and in particular the VECOS platform, a project led by the UPHF in partnership with the Université Catholique de Lille.
Blending metaverses and virtual reality, VECOS enables the creation of immersive educational content in a new digitalized environment, offering the possibility of accessing persistent worlds, carrying out immersive experiences in a professional setting, creating adapted educational scenarios and interaction and manipulation devices.

A first day under the sign of workshops, experiments with over 10 Virtual Reality creations and tests of professional scanners, followed by a second day that saw the birth of the first network of PhD students from the 17 DemoES projects.

What are DemoES?

The Digital Demonstrators in Higher Education (DemoES) project was launched by France's Ministry of Higher Education in 2020 to modernize higher education institutions with digital technologies. Born of the need to adapt to technological developments DemoES aims to improve teaching, strengthen research and optimize administrative management.
