This year, for the 7th edition of Olympic and Paralympic Week 2023 from Ministry of National Education and Youth and Paris 2024, we were fortunate enough to host swimmer Cyrielle Duhamel, a medal hopeful in swimming at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Her visit to our offices first of all gave rise to an inspiring 1.5-hour audience during which nearly 250 STAPS students (specialized in swimming and/or high-level athletes from the university) were able to learn more about the career path of this professional sportswoman and ask some questions.

Then, the young champion made an intervention during a master course on physical and mental preparation.

Thank you to Thierry REVAUX for the organization of this beautiful event that allowed a nice exchange between our students and a high level sportswoman.

This year will take place the second edition of the graduation ceremony of the Institute Societies and Humanities for the cycles professional license, DEUST and master, class 2022.
The event will take place on March 03, 2023 at 5:30 pm in the Cité des Congrès of Valenciennes.

The UPHF, led by its President, Abdelhakim Artiba, carried out a mission to Indonesia from June 5 to 9, 2023 under the auspices of the French Embassy services. The mission enabled the finalization of a number of partnership agreements in the fields of research and innovation.

Currently in the second year of his PhD, Axel Krzyzaniak is engaged in cutting-edge bioceramics research at CERAMATHS, the Ceramic Materials and Mathematics Laboratory at the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF). In this interview, he reveals his academic background, his current work and the deep-seated motivations that drive him to excel in this exciting field.

Sound recording and mixing are at the heart of many audiovisual projects. From the first year of the bachelor's degree through to the master's, students practice sound capture using the technical and scientific knowledge acquired during the course.

This year again, the FRAC Grand Large -- Hauts-de-France and the students of the Master 1 Curatorial Studies in Relation to the Contemporary Art Field have embarked on a beautiful collaboration as part of the design of the exhibition Anatomy Lesson.
This exhibition can be seen from 06 to 16 February within the Ronzier Arts Center, on the site of Les Tertiales (Valenciennes center).

Sarclo, author, composer and performer, and above all an excellent translator of Bob Dylan songs, will speak as part of the Translation and Music course of the Master Arts, Lettres et Civilisations Traductologie course on Tuesday, October 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for the translation and music.

The Institute of Transversalities, Sports and Health is made up of 3 departments.
