Creation of a new institute at UPHF: the Institute for Transversality, Sports and Health

The creation of the IT2S follows the process of UPHF's transition from the status of Etablissement Public d'Enseignement (EPE) to Grand Etablissement and the recommendation of the Haut Conseil de l'Evaluation de la Recherche et de l'Enseignement Supérieur (HCERES) to dissociate STAPS training courses from those of INSA Hauts-de-France.

Mr. Abdelhak Kabila, Vice-President of UPHF, has been appointed Provisional Administrator and is in charge of setting up IT2S.

The Institute of Transversalities, Sports and Health is made up of 3 departments.

1. The Transversalities department comprises:

• opening modules and polytechnic modules (MO/MP)
• the Licence Pluridisciplinaire Personal Project
  • High-Level Sports Course
  • parcours Pluridisciplinaire Projet Personnel
• the Coaching and Mental Performance DU

2. The Sports Department comprises:

• Bachelor's and Master's STAPS courses
.

3. The Health department groups together:

• the Pluridisciplinary Personal Project License
  • Health course - LAS
• the DU Pain and Human Motricity

This department is dedicated to developing and operating training courses for healthcare professionals. At the same time, it stimulates and administers the involvement of UPHF staff in partners' medical and paramedical training courses and, by reciprocity, the involvement of partners in UPHF training courses.
