Fête de la Science 2025 arrives at UPHF!

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France is taking part in the Fête de la Science, France's biggest public science event.

University researchers are mobilizing for a day full of discoveries and experiments, on the Mont Houy campus, at the Institut des Mobilités et des Transports Durables (IMTD) in Famars, from 10am to 6pm.

Whether you're a student, university staff or just curious about science, this day is open to all. Come with your family, friends or colleagues to discover the research and applications coming out of UPHF.

On the program:

Conferences (20 min + discussions, on-site registration - 39 pers./conference)

  • 10:30 am, 2 pm & 4 pm: History of Artificial Intelligence by Alaa Daoud
  • 11:30am, 3pm & 5pm: Women, computing and artificial intelligence: breaking stereotypes for new perspectives by Marie Thilliez and Chloé Alqasir

Interactive workshops and demonstrations

  • Artificial Intelligence and Cognition

  • Imagine your AI superheroine
  • Initiation to logic programming: Prolog
  • Project Park On Time: AI at the service of everyday life
  • Demonstration of the ECO-Charge
  • project.
  • Artificial intelligence at the service of the Porte du Hainaut virtual eco-museum

  • Free-access toy library and scientific documentation for young and old

  • A unique opportunity to manipulate, experiment and ask researchers all your questions

Catering and drinks: provided on site by the student association Sphimx.

This day is an opportunity to discover the university and research in a different way, meet passionate researchers and share a convivial moment around science.
