A Franco-Indonesian laboratory for sustainable transport and mobility under construction
At UPHF, Franco-Indonesian relations have just reached a major milestone, with the arrival in mid-December of senior officials from BRIN, the Indonesian research agency equivalent to CNRS in France, for a workshop on the transport of the future. Eventually, a joint laboratory on sustainable mobility should see the light of day.
.Relationships between the establishment and Indonesia have been sustained for many years. Professor El Hadj Dogheche, who initiated them, is delighted with the direction they are now taking: "We have succeeded in establishing a new dynamic, the Indonesians have confidence in us and, above all, they come here because they have recognized our expertise in transport."
It's a good thing we've been able to establish a new relationship with Indonesia.
During the workshop, participants were able, among other things, to discover the establishment's research platforms, notably those of LAMIH UMR CNRS 8201 and those of the Valenciennes site of IEMN UMR CNRS 8520, but also that of VALUTEC. They also discovered some of our industrial partners, notably Alstom Crespin.
