UPHF inaugurates its Ronzier building

The result of 18 months of renovation work
After 18 months of renovation work, the Ronzier building was officially inaugurated on Friday April 12 in the presence of Laurent Degallaix, Mayor of Valenciennes, President of Valenciennes Métropole, and Abdelhakim Artiba, President of Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France.
The work involved the renovation of the university restaurant, university library and plastic arts workshops, the installation of the arts center, the creation of a reception area and seminar rooms, as well as the installation of governance and its support services on the first and second floors from January 2024.
A high-flying inauguration
On the occasion of the building's inauguration, UPHF offered the aerial dance performance on the façade VOLIBRI, by the in-SENSO company. This artistic performance was accompanied by the traditional ribbon-cutting by Laurent Degallaix, Mayor of Valenciennes, President of Valenciennes Métropole, and Abdelhakim Artiba, President of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France.
This inauguration followed the Doctor Honoris Causa Ceremony, which took place the same evening at the Phénix scène nationale. Read more.
