Pôle d'Excellence Sportif Universitaire selection
Thursday, September 21 was the selection day for the PESU.
150 students were on hand this day to try their hand at joining a university team!
A total of 88 students were selected:
- 20 in futsal
- 20 in handball
- 20 in football
- 28 in boxing
For the first year, the tests were carried out jointly, allowing us to highlight a very interesting sporting moment and compare performances between the different activities. Numbers are up in terms of participation, notably via the opening of a new section: women's handball.
Starting this week, the students will integrate their different sections for the 2023-2024 year to begin their training rhythm: 3 training sessions per week: 1 weight training session and 2 practice sessions.
Thanks to this, our ambition is to perform well in university sports and be able to reach the final phases of the French championships in these 4 disciplines, with the medium-term aim of aiming for titles and medals.
