Politeknik Negeri Bali visits UPHF: new impetus for international partnerships
On September 2 and 3, 2024, the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF) was honored to welcome a delegation from Politeknik Negeri Bali (PNB), led by Mr. I Nyoman Abdi, Director of the institution.
This meeting marks a key stage in the strengthening of ties between our institutions, with ambitions for academic collaborations in the fields of tourism, business and new technologies.
Strategic and enriching discussions
During their visit, the members of the delegation were able to discuss potential synergies with the President, Armel De la Bourdonnaye, Franck Barbier, El Hadj Dogheche and Jonathan Brindle, whether in terms of thesis co-supervision, staff and student exchanges.
A focus on tourism and innovation
One of PNB's main aspirations is to raise its academic offering to doctoral level, with a first opening in tourism. The meeting with Irène Sartorretti, Sylvain Petit, Amos Fergombe, was an opportunity to present, among other things, UPHF's training courses in this field, research work, the networks it is part of, but also the chair in tourism and heritage enhancement, as well as the sustainable tourism project funded by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie. As for the meeting with IAE, led by Mohamed Ramdani, Véronique Sanguinetti, Olivier Nicolas and Ghassen Allani, it provided a glimpse of collaborations in digital marketing and innovation.

Engineering opportunities
The meeting with Armel de La Bourdonnaye and Céline Morin from INSA provided an opportunity to highlight the institute and explore internship opportunities in Bali for outgoing students.
Towards new cooperative ventures
Exchanges also focused on the possibility of hosting visiting professors in Bali and Valenciennes, setting up COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) programs, online courses between our institutions. The meeting concluded with promising prospects for strengthening our academic relations and offering students and researchers new development opportunities.
This partnership with Politeknik Negeri Bali promises to be rich in innovative projects, paving the way for a lasting and fruitful collaboration. We look forward to bringing these exchanges to fruition, for a global impact on our respective campuses.
