The Prefect of the Region and the Sub-Prefect of Valenciennes received at the University

Bertrand Gaume, Préfet of the Hauts-de-France region, Préfet of the Nord defense and security zone, Préfet du Nord and Guillaume Quenet, Sous-Préfet of Valenciennes were on the Mont Houy campus on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

They were welcomed by President Abdelhakim Artiba and members of the management committee.

The Prefect was presented with UPHF's Ecole Normale Supérieure project, in which he showed great interest: "If it can help, I think it's great and very interesting for young people in the area to have access to highly demanding training that promotes social advancement," he said.

This visit was also an opportunity for the Prefect, recently appointed to the Region, to discover some of the plant's technological platforms, the CEBD demonstrator and our autonomous vehicles.
