A Weekend to Explore the Heritage of the Tertiales University Library
Housed in the former Ronzier military barracks, which has recently been renovated, the Tertiales University Library is participating in European Heritage Days by offering several events focused on the building’s history, photography, and the preservation of its collections.
Guided Tours of the University Library

Two Exhibitions Focusing on Heritage
During your visit, be sure to explore two exhibitions dedicated to the University Library’s photographic heritage and remarkable collections.
Photographic Heritage
This exhibition brings together a selection of photographs from the City Archives as well as digital aerial views. They offer a glimpse of the Ronzier Barracks and its surroundings at different periods in history.
Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine
How can we preserve and pass on heritage collections? This exhibition presents various practices in the preventive and curative conservation of graphic heritage, ranging from the repair of works to their restoration and digitization.

Kamishibai Performance: Storytelling Tour – How the Hare Got a Split Lip
On Sunday, September 20, at 4:00 p.m., the Tertiales University Library will host the Grimonpont Company for a storytelling performance featuring kamishibai.
Why does the hare have a cleft lip? This traditional Tibetan tale recounts the adventures of a cunning, mischievous, and generous animal who never hesitates to come to the aid of the weak.
Kamishibai, which literally means “paper theater,” is a storytelling technique originating in Japan. This performance is part of the programming for the Year of Japan 2026, celebrated at UPHF.
The performance is presented by Christophe Grimonpont, an actor and storyteller who has been working since 1997 in various healthcare settings and with amateur theater companies.
