Alliance Games EUNICE: inter-university sports tournament

From October 21 to 25 will take place the EUNICE Alliance Games, the traditional sports tournament of the EUNICE alliance. For the first time this year, the UPHF will be organizing the event in the Valenciennes area.

A European sporting event

For the third year running, EUNICE is bringing together students from its ten member universities, including UPHF, for the Alliance Games EUNICE ("EUNICE Alliance Games"). The 2024 edition of this event will be organized by the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France and held in Valenciennes.

This year, for its "made in France" edition, UPHF will be offering two mixed tournaments, in two team sports:volleyballand basketball. Each university in the alliance will select a team for each discipline, bringing together a total of over 80 students who will proudly represent their institutions during the event.

The matches will be broadcast live on the uphf.fr/eag-2024 platform.

International encounters and cultural discoveries

Beyond sporting performance, the Alliance Games are intended to be a moment of international exchange and cultural discovery. In addition to sporting tournaments, the week's program will include visits to the city of Valenciennes and to emblematic sites in the area, as well as moments of conviviality and sharing between students, and awareness-raising activities.

The Alliance Games will be held in Valenciennes, France.

It is with this aim of raising awareness among students that a conference on the theme of sport in the European Union will be offered by Europe en Hainaut, a public interest grouping strengthening the connections between the European Union and the citizens and local players of Hainaut.
