With this theatrical creation blending emotion and humor, the Les Laboureurs company plunges the audience into the intimacy of Marguerite and Benjamin, a couple at the dawn of a Medically Assisted Procreation (MAP) journey. Far from a simple medical device, this journey is complex, demanding and profoundly human. Each stage - consultations, examinations, waits, treatments - highlights the visible and invisible obstacles faced by many people engaged in this process.
This tragi-comedy dramatizes the social, family and psychological tensions surrounding MPA, while revealing the frailties, doubts and strengths that inhabit those who traverse this path. Through a sensitive, nuanced narrative, the play tackles resilience, the desire for parenthood and the power of bonds that are built or reforged in the face of adversity.
Between heartfelt emotions, light-hearted moments and universal questioning, the show opens up a space for reflection around a subject that is still all too often taboo, while offering a deeply human perspective, carried through the art of drama.
