The cultural service of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, in accordance with the establishment's cultural project, offers art practice workshops every year.

These workshops are aimed at the entire university community: students, teachers and staff of UPHF and INSA Hauts-de-France.

The main aims of these workshops are:

  • To introduce students to a cultural and/or artistic practice
  • .
  • Discover the university's cultural infrastructures: the UPHF Art Center located in the Ronzier building and the Espace Polyvalent et Culturel located on the Mont Houy campus
  • Practise a cultural and artistic activity
  • Foster personal fulfillment through a cultural and artistic activity, promote well-being at work
  • Build links within the university community and cross profiles around a practice in a place of life that is the UPHF
  • Promote skills and the process of acquiring these skills during workshops
  • Maintain the cultural cooperations initiated by the UPHF with local players and partners
  • .

With a new space for theatrical creation on the Mont Houy campus, the cultural department actively supports and promotes artistic creation and the structuring of amateur ensembles in the university community.
It is against this backdrop that the cultural department is organizing auditions to form a Theatre Troupe at the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France.
.
Any member of the UPHF university community (students, teachers and staff) is welcome to audition.
To audition, meet on Thursday November 13 at 6pm at the Espace Polyvalent et Culturel (provisional name) on the Mont Houy campus.

We're offering a practice session for these auditions on Thursday November 06 (between 6pm and 9pm) at the same venue. You'll also be able to ask questions to the team on site or discuss the UPHF Theatre Troupe project with members of the cultural service.

This Theater Workshop will take place on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9pm.

Audition guidelines :

  • Whether you're an amateur or an experienced performer, come having learned a monologue or dramatic text. Approximate audition length: between 2 and 5 minutes maximum.

  • You can be accompanied by prompter(s) to give you the line.
  • You'll have the right to your text, but avoid using it as much as possible.
  • Choose the text you want - as long as it's a dramatic (theatrical) text.
  • We recommend Georges Feydeau's texts for these auditions: playwright whose texts are easily accessible online and quickly masterable, even for neophytes.
  • Be willing, curious and caring.
  • If you are selected following auditions, your commitment is valid for the academic year.
