* The Tourism and Heritage Valorization Chair (TVP Chair) is a partnership between the Hauts-de-France Polytechnic University (UPHF) and the Communauté d'Agglomération de La Porte du Hainaut (CAPH). It was launched on March 25, 2022, at the initiative of Arnaud Huftier, university professor and UPHF vice-president in charge of culture. The Chair aims to fulfill the university's third mission by ensuring its territorial anchorage and its essential role in innovation, particularly with regard to the challenges of sustainable tourism and heritage enhancement. Through research-action projects and cultural initiatives designed to bring the world of research and society closer together, the Chair aims to help the Communauté de la Porte du Hainaut make the most of its rich heritage. This research-action approach integrates training, citizen participation and economic development, to make the area an example of sustainable tourism and heritage enhancement that benefits tourists and residents alike.
