Disability doctoral contracts

The "Doctorat Handicap" campaign is a strong axis of the inclusion policy led by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, in partnership with higher education institutions. It aims to promote the pursuit of studies at the doctoral level of students with disabilities.

This year it is proposed to fund 30 contracts over 3 years. A quota of 180 months of extensions is also provided, reserved for contracts granted in the 2019 campaign, to take into account the particular situation of PhD students with disabilities.

The device committing institutions to fund one or more doctoral contracts earmarked for "disability" from their own resources, is renewed. This recommendation aims to encourage higher education institutions to deploy an ever more inclusive policy.

Applications will be examined by the Scientific Committee "Doctorate Disability", composed of scientific and pedagogical advisors placed at the General Directorate of Higher Education and Professional Integration. Requests for extension will be examined according to the same procedures as the initial applications.
