EUNICE Advisory Board students meet in Vaasa, Finland
This event, which took place from December 5 to 6, 2024, offered students from EUNICE's ten European universities the chance to discuss the alliance's opportunities and help shape its future.
The meeting, moderated by Alina Järvipetäjä and Sofié Leikkilä, members of the ESAB (EUNICE Student Advisory Board) at the University of Vaasa and also members of the Vaasa University Student Union board, began with a session to present and focus on the activities carried out by the ESAB, both locally and at alliance level. The students then enjoyed a guided tour of the campus before taking part in workshops devised by the University of Vaasa's EUNICE team.
During the workshops, students shared their views on the strengths and areas for improvement of EUNICE's current initiatives, while proposing new ideas and projects for its future development. The meeting marked the end of the year 2024, with a review of the ESAB's missions and the preparation of an annual report. It also served as a kick-off for 2025, with a definition of the program for the coming year, ESAB's support needs and the contribution of new initiatives (creation of an integration guide for future ESAB members, review of surveys, etc.)
.This meeting was an important opportunity for student representatives to collaborate, share ideas and contribute to the success of the EUNICE alliance.
The event also included social activities enabling ESAB members to discover the city of Vaasa and Finnish culture. On December 6, Finland's Independence Day, students had the opportunity to attend a Finnish academic tradition: the Independence Day Parade organized by students in the city center.
