The EUNICE alliance will be present at the Congress for European Universities in Turin

This event will be an opportunity for French and Italian universities participating in the " European Universities " initiative to meet and exchange best practices.

This Thursday, March 30, 2023, staff from Italian and French universities involved in the European Universities Initiative will meet in Turin (Italy) to discuss together the concrete projects taking place in the different universities in terms of mobility, research projects, pedagogical innovation and internationalization within the European alliances, and student initiatives.

The conference is organized by the French-Italian University, which promotes academic and scientific collaboration between France and Italy, and University of Turin, leader of the European university alliance UNITA - Universitas Montium.

So far, the European Universities Initiative, funded by the European Commission with the aim of strengthening education and research cooperation in Europe, involves more than 340 institutions in 31 countries for a total of 44 existing alliances. Among these, 24 involve at least one Italian and one French partner  this is the case of EUNICE, which includes the University of Catania and the Polytechnic University Hauts-de-France, which will be present at this event.

The congress will open with a plenary session on the state of the art of European alliances, in which Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, Director of Higher Education at the European Commission, and representatives of the Italian and French Ministries of Education, Universities and Research will participate. This will be followed by four thematic workshops on teaching, mobility, research and development, and student involvement in university alliances. The event will conclude with a plenary session in which the Franco-Italian agencies for the evaluation of university and research systems will participate.

It will be possible to follow this event online. In addition, a Padlet (interactive online board) will be accessible to allow everyone to share information, content and best practices related to European Alliances. Registration for the Padlet is accessible via this link.
