EUNICE Weeks 2023: A month of European sporting and cultural events

EUNICE Weeks are back for a third edition, from October 23 to November 30, 2023. On the program: sports tournaments, cultural events and conferences around the theme of Europe.

An event open to all

Organized for the first time in 2021, EUNICE Weeks will take place this year from October 23 to November 30. The aim of these weeks is to raise awareness among students, and the wider university community, of their European identity by promoting European values of multilingualism, interculturality and inclusion.
The aim is also to give students the opportunity to develop global and intercultural skills that they can put to good use on the job market.

EUNICE Weeks program

Alliance Games

The Alliance Games ("Alliance Games") include two types of inter-university events: a chess tournament (online) and a volleyball tournament (on-site).

  • October 23 to 25, 2023: inter-university volleyball tournament in Poznan

During this mixed tournament, teams from each EUNICE institution compete at Poznan University of Technology (Poland). The program also includes cultural activities for the students.

  • November 28, 2023 (6pm): online chess tournament

Ten players from each EUNICE institution compete in a chess tournament broadcast online on the EUNICE YouTube channel and commented by two students. 
 

EUNICE Days

EUNICE Days ("Journées EUNICE") are made up of cultural and intellectual events organized by each alliance university on Tuesdays and Thursdays in November, and accessible online by the entire EUNICE university community, on the EUNICE YouTube channel.

  • November 7 (5pm - 6:30pm): Workshops around gastronomy "Flavours of geology: Dry stone walls", University of Cantabria (Spain)
  • November 9 (2pm - 2:45pm) : Conference "Working and studying in a hybrid mode" University of Vaasa (Finland)
  • November 14 (8pm - 9:30pm) : Live performance of "Orphée et Eurydice"Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France - In partnership with Atelier Choral de Valenciennes

  • November 16 (8pm - 9pm): Guided tour of the Brandenburg State Museum of Modern Art, Brandenburg University of Technology (Germany)
  • November 21: Discovery of the Benedictine Monastery of Catania,University of Catania (Italy) - Schedules to come
  • November 30 (6:30 pm - 8 pm): Round table "What is the European identity? How can we bring it to life?", Université de Mons (Belgium)
