UPHF organizes a volunteer camp this summer in connection with the ecological transition
As part of the EUNICE European alliance, Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France continues to develop innovative international opportunities for its students.
An immersive, intercultural experience
Mobilities, hybrid programs and volunteer camps are just some of the experiences on offer to enrich academic careers and strengthen European commitment within the EUNICE alliance.
.
It's with this dynamic in mind that UPHF, in partnership with the University of Mons, is organizing the summer volunteer camp Green Makers Camp, dedicated to sustainable development, eco-renovation, nature protection and learning by doing.
The camp will take place from June 29 to July 10, 2026 in two phases:
- First week: Valenciennes (France)
- Second week: Mons (Belgium)
Visits and discoveries of the territories are planned to promote local initiatives in renovation and sustainable development.
This alternation between the two partner cities promotes cross-border cooperation and interculturality, essential dimensions of the European project supported by UPHF within the EUNICE alliance.
Students will take part in:
- field activities linked to eco-renovation and ecological transition,
- concrete collaborative projects,
- intercultural exchanges,
- workshops promoting the acquisition of cross-disciplinary skills.
A project at the heart of UPHF's DDRS strategy
Labelled DDRS, UPHF affirms its determination to fully integrate environmental, social and societal issues into all its missions: training, research, governance and campus life.
Focusing on sustainable development, eco-renovation, nature conservation and learning by doing, this volunteer camp offers students an immersive and committed experience. More than just a summer program, it's a real lever for educational transformation: learning differently, in the field, cooperating on a European scale and making a concrete contribution to the ecological transition.
An opportunity open to EUNICE alliance students
The camp is aimed at students from universities that are members of the EUNICE alliance.
Places are limited to 2 students per university.
Application deadline: March 24, 2026
