The Electromobility Conference: Regional Research at UPHF

This first edition is part of a regional initiative aimed at better identifying the scientific expertise available in the field of electromobility. It follows up on the work of the Regional Prospective Thinking Group (G2RP) dedicated to electromobility, which brought together 23 research laboratories in the Hauts-de-France region to assess the expertise and equipment available in the region.
Organized by the Hauts-de-France Region, in partnership with the MEDEE Cluster, the UPHF and the COREM Hauts-de-France, the conference will provide an opportunity to showcase these areas of expertise and foster collaboration between research institutions, businesses, and public sector stakeholders.

The morning will be devoted to the work being conducted in regional laboratories and opportunities for collaboration with companies.
Following the presentation of the regional study on electromobility expertise, several researchers will present the equipment available for basic and collaborative research. Industry representatives will then share their perspectives on the expertise developed in the Hauts-de-France laboratories.
The day will also feature several researchers involved in collaborations with the business community, through six case studies. A roundtable discussion will then bring together researchers and companies to explore the conditions necessary for fostering new collaborative research projects.
The afternoon will shift the focus from presentations to hands-on experimentation, featuring tests, demonstrations, and a tour of the UPHF facilities at the IMTD.

The Rencontres de l’Électromobilité also provide an opportunity to learn about the research being conducted at UPHF in the fields of transportation and mobility.
The LAMIH UMR CNRS 8201 conducts research on transportation systems, vehicle dynamics, electrification, onboard systems, and automated mobility. In particular, the laboratory has platforms that allow models developed in the lab to be tested through experiments under controlled conditions.
Among the equipment presented during the event:

• Dynamic-Drive, a platform dedicated to studying the dynamics of hybrid vehicles and controlling an electric motor integrated into the vehicle;
• SHERPA, a full-scale automotive driving simulator used in particular to study advanced driver-assistance systems and driver behavior;
• PRIVAC-DS7, an automated vehicle demonstrator used for experiments on autonomous mobility systems;
• PSCHITT, a dynamic and immersive simulation platform for studying various transportation and mobility scenarios.

These platforms enable work at various levels, from simulation and prototyping to experimentation on physical systems and vehicles.

The Rencontres de l’Électromobilité emerged from a collaborative effort involving 23 research laboratories based in the Hauts-de-France region. The study conducted as part of the G2RP initiative helps better identify the scientific expertise and equipment available in the region and facilitates collaboration between research teams and companies.
For the UPHF, this event provides an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of its laboratories and experimental platforms, as well as the conditions under which this equipment can be made available for collaborative research projects.
This initiative aligns in particular with the activities of the Lille Hauts-de-France University Innovation Cluster (PUI), which fosters relationships between public research and the socio-economic sector.
